A diverse data science workforce is critical for challenging the assumptions in data interpretation and inherent biases in data. The increasing availability of health data in many low- and middle-income countries, presents an opportunity for machine learning to impact public health significantly. ENGAGE Project pilot training in August is a foundational work that is going to strengthen the pipeline and impact of women to improve health in their communities through artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science.

The ENGAGE Project is ready to train Tier 2 and 3 in August, a health-focused machine learning training curriculum has been developed, validated, and integrated ready for delivery. The trainers also have been equipped with pedagogical and microteaching skills to facilitate the effective delivery of content. We are committed to empowering young women with machine learning in public health to help tackle health challenges in their communities.
