FAWE-Kenya CEO visits ENGAGE

“Partnerships are an avenue to create much more impact.” – Jeanette Nyanjom, CEO, FAWE Kenya.

We were honoured to host Forum For African Women Educationalists – Kenya Chapter CEO Jeanette Nyanjom and FAWE Kenya’s Imarisha Msichana Program Coordinator, Chrispus Mukumbu, at our offices at the University of Nairobi Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases.

FAWE Kenya has been instrumental in empowering young women and girls across the country, and we are excited to collaborate with them as we work to recruit brilliant, underserved high school girls into the world of data science.

“Our goal as ENGAGE is to create interest in data science among high school girls,” noted the Principal Investigator of the ENGAGE Project, Prof Julius Oyugi, as Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning are proving to be as revolutionary as when the internet first came about. It would be a great career opportunity for young girls from all backgrounds to explore.

We are proud to share a common vision of impacting young girls, and we look forward to the transformative impact this partnership will create.
