Earlier this month, we were proud to host a delegation from Nairobi City County’s Health Research Division. The meeting aimed to explore the opportunity to place our project beneficiaries within their facilities.
The delegation included the Director of Medical Services and Head of Primary Health Division at the Nairobi City County, Dr Essam Said, the Head of Health Research, Dr. Muna A Aden, and the Deputy Chief Pharmacist, Dr. Wambura Catherine.
They were warmly received by our team, led by Principal Investigator Professor Julius Oyugi, who provided an overview of the ENGAGE project. This sparked meaningful conversations on how our beneficiaries—young women trained in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning—can contribute to optimizing public health in Nairobi City County.
The Director of Medical Services spoke glowingly of the ENGAGE project. He emphasized the importance of this project in helping the government drive impactful change in public health, with young women and girls from underserved regions leading the charge.
This conversation marks a great start to what we hope will be a meaningful and impactful collaboration between the ENGAGE Project and Nairobi City County.
